Were-creatures live among us, but they are born into it like a Heritage. They are a product of an ancient Deity such as a Monkey, a Fox, a Wolf, a Heron, a Bear, a Snake, a Tiger, a Boar, a Dog, a Horse, an Ox, or any Ancient Spirit Animal 'blessing' a human female with a Child.

A 'Were' can be born from perfectly normal parents if they have a dormant Ancestral Gene that is present in Both parents.

There are even 'cults' of Regular humans who believe they have the bloodline of these ancient power animals like the Monkey or Fox and they intentionally breed with each other in an attempt to make more of them...

If successful, these offspring have obvious traits of their Ancestors like Tails, certain Ears, teeth, even their feet can look more like their Animal predecessors. They are known to have super-human strength and speed, and depending on the blood used they take on the strengths and personalities of their Ancestors. Above all, they can take the form of their Ancestors at any time, and a true 'Were' is not affected by the moon; they do not need it to transform to their true form.

While their strength is respected for the most part, these Were-creatures are seen as 'Taboo' and 'something to be feared'. They are even looked at like Demons and are killed on sight sometimes.

As Negativity Breeds Negativity, a lot of these Offspring are born with greed, hatred, and anger in their hearts and fall into that 'Monster' category.

That being said, there are others that live out their lives in peace and only use their strength for good deeds, and to defend the innocent...
