Target Market
Consumers of graphic design services.

Purpose
Create awareness of the importance of graphic design to businesses' bottom line. In other words, try to communicate why graphic design services are important to businesses. This is to be an all text design: no photos or graphics at all. Suggestions slogans:

Graphic Design. When you need to communicate.
Graphic Design. When your message needs to be heard.
Graphic Design. When you need to get your message heard.

When designing the poster, I decided to focus on a business' tendancy to want to fill the space they have (coupon, sign, newpaper add, etc...) with as much information as possible. So much sometimes that the consumer can be overwhelmed by all the information; not knowing what they are supose to be getting form the particular piece. The starbust is a play on the overuse of starbusts to draw attention. The specs said no graphics, so I made the starbust by overlay the text in the poster many times, colouring it yellow, and using a star shaped clipping mask.
