He’s like, ugly but cute at the same time. That’s why he’s called, “Skrunkly”. Osomatsu in my default style since I’ve lost my touch and trying to get it back again. The shitty eldest grew on me, and yeah he’s a selfish, perverted, double-crossing freak but that doesn’t mean he can’t have his moments of wholesomeness. He’s really grown a lot since the first season, and while he’s still very much the same, Osomatsu really let’s his big brother side show more often. Such as protecting the rice balls from getting hurt and even looking out for others like Hatabou. Whenever Hatabou was running his, “Hatabou eats” business Oso noticed that he was struggling with carrying his items on his little bike. So he assists him with putting them on since Hatabou is so short, and even encourages him! And the time where Ichimatsu in the “Ichimatsu incident” tried on Karamatsu’s clothes while Karamatsu was asleep. Even if the rest may not care for his “painful” fashion sense, Oso still wanted to try them out and did not even call Ichimatsu out on wearing them either. He just simply played along! He could’ve made fun of him, but instead asked to try them on himself. Lastly, there’s “cherry blossoms” which is the season two finale where him and his brothers all get together to help their mother out since their father ended up in the hospital. Even finally getting jobs and improving their lives to help their little family out. Osomatsu even accepts change rather than resist it (e.g., letter) and supports his little brothers while working on himself. God, that episode makes me CHOKE UP every time. The vibe, the score, the setting UGHHH EVERYTHING!!! I just love seeing these wholesome moments in the show and the growth my boys are capable of going through. Wow, this turned out to be longer than warranted. But whatever!! Enjoy!
