Grim: *she just stares at Freaky for a bit, taken back a bit by how serious she’s getting about this job. It’s understandable since her son is potentially in danger but, nothing to get this serious about. She crosses her arms and returns the serious look to Freaky.* If that’s your way to try and scare me off, I’d try harder than that.

Freaky: … So you won’t take my warning then…?

Grim: No, I’ll take your warning into consideration, but what you’re trying to do right now isn’t warning me of danger. You are hoping to scare me away with the threat of danger or my life possibly ending.

Freaky: …

Grim: Look, Freaky, this isn’t my first time facing a supernatural foe that could kill me. Compared to Mintz I at least have some experience when it comes to protecting myself and not taking the hit. So whatever happens when we face this spirit, I’m going to try my best to protect your son and make sure that ghost doesn’t try to harm anyone. Alright?

Freaky: Just how stubborn are you?

Grim: Even more than Mintz.

Freaky: Hmph, that part you’re right about. *she thinks for a moment then sighs heavily, her eyes that were a different shape and color before return to their original state.* Alright, I won’t try to force you away or try to scare you. Just so we’re clear I’m not responsible if anything happens to you or Mintz.

Grim: Eh I wouldn’t be concerned with Mintz, even though he jumps into danger he’s the easiest to fix afterwards.

Freaky: *she nods her head, though she looks at Grim serious again.* How much did my son offer you? If you can’t already tell, we’re not made of money so we can’t give you something close to three thousand dollars.

Grim: Uh, Mintz would be the one to demand that price honestly, but don’t worry I don’t expect you to pay for this job.

Freaky: *she looks at her a bit surprised.* What? You don’t expect any payment for this? *her facial expression changes from a surprised look to a confused one.* Just how weird are you?

Grim: If I’m here long enough you get to see at least half of the surprises I have. So uh, not to sound rude or anything… but I’ll need to head upstairs with Mintz to help set up for tonight.

Freaky: Right… you need to set up your ghost crap in order to see them or something like that right?

Grim: Hm?

Freaky: Nevermind, I’ll take you upstairs to your room now since we’re done talking.

Grim: Wait what do you mean by what you just said?

Freaky: ???? I’m taking you up to your room now, why are you confused about that?

Grim: Not what I meant and you know that. Are you able to see spirits as well? Like actually see them physically and hear them?

Freaky: None of your business. Keep questions like that to yourself or I’ll throw you out.

Grim: *she looks at Freaky slightly irritated at how she responded to her. Freaky could be a little bit nicer to the girl who’s going to help rid the spirit that’s been apparently giving them trouble.*

Freaky: Dinner will be ready by seven. Hope you’re not a vegan or anything strange like that.

Grim: Geez I know what Mintz means now… No I’m not a vegan and I like almost all kinds of food. I’m not that picky of an eater.

Freaky: Good, cause I’m making a breaded pork recipe that I found on the internet. Just wanted to make sure you weren’t a “no eating the animals” kinda person. *she opens the door and starts to head out of the office they’re in. She heads for the stairs behind the counter that Mintz and Daymium went up before.*

Grim: *she sighs and has the look of dread on her face.* Oh boy… this is going to be a long one… I hope I have the strength not to sock this woman in the face myself… *she leaves the office and follows Freaky up the stairs.*

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeey it's been like almost 10,000 years since I've posted a thing or done this comic. Probably because I was hibernating waiting for spring to come. Any how, Grim and Freaky have a sit down and now stuff should start to get a little more on the serious side. Hopefully, since it might take me another 10,000 years to get to the next one (cause my to do list is almost a mile long with how much work I give to myself oh my gee). Don't worry, Mintz will show up again in the next comic strip, he going to have a bit of a sit down with Daymium if you know what I mean. Have some bonding time. It'll be great.
