So Link would be a girl inkling, because he has long tentacles. The boys have short pony tails.

I wasn't inclining to make it a gender specific piece, as I believe that inklings can have different hairstyles.
Realistically if the boys took down their pony tails what would they have? Longer tentacles right? Marie has a short hairstyle, does that mean she's more inclined to being a male?Β
I just drew link in an Inkling form that I thought would look cute, but if you strongly believe in your point, sure.

They share the eye masks and the tentacles aspects of their squid form.Β

hahaha, yeah as soon as I picked up my controller to play splatoon on release day my link amiibo was still on my gamepad so I instantly looked at my partner and screamed, "OH MY GOD WE SHOULD MAKE A LINKLING!" He just sat there and shook his head with the biggest grin on his face haha, Hopefully others had the idea as well because it would be great to have much more Linkling art as it's a super cute concept.Β
