Description Timeless Emotion, 9"x12", Colored Pencils, $125

So, today I was working at the Mall doing caricatures and I typically get lulls where no one is coming around and today was particularly dead. I had sometime and wanted to screw around with my Prismacolor Stix. I rarely ever use them and today with all the time I had I did three drawings with them.

This was by far the best one and I love it. I don't normally get into colored pencils but I really enjoyed my time with them. I did this from a manakin and I liked the wrap around the head and the flower as well. I put in a ficticious head to make it all work.

I call it Timeless Emotion because you can see this face on anyone anywhere and it doesn't matter the date.

The layered colors remind me of the beautiful simplicity in paper-cutting. I really like this

This is so pretty. I love the shades used for the mid-tone and shadow. It gives it a vintage feel.

Thanks, I appreciate the "vintage" comment because that is something that had come to mind when I started out on this so it is nice to see your vision be realized by others

Looks great man. Saw this earlier on fb! I gotta say it reminds me of a game character from dragon age 2 - Isabella so bonus points for that Keep on cranking them out

Haha thanks! I had the hardest times trying to write my signature with a paint brush and then I came out with this and have used it since . Wait until you see today's new pieces they look nothing like this!

It's really striking man. My signature when painting is very blocky but when I write with a pen it can get "Robust"

actually, i think it looks like those figures from the 1920s . . . i thought that was what the title referred to, Jer. it does have that look of (OMG) a century ago. beautiful work, brah.

Yeah the 1920's does come to mind. It was a head wrap and the way I did the hair gives it that roaring 20's appeal. I suppose it is up to the viewer more than me and that's what I love about art. Everyone has their own views and that's great! But yeah, can you believe it a Century ago!?!
