As the Fairly Oddparents winds down it's current existence, we thought it might be nice to review some of Butch's work for Oh Yeah! Cartoons.
Steve Marmel created the premise for Dan Danger and asked Butch to co-write the script, design, and direct, figuring we would be more likely to buy the film. Darn right!

Made during the Oh Yeah! Cartoons, these were a series of shorts that came after the successful 'The Fairly OddParents' short film. I wanna see the short remade, but whatever.
Anyway, this was the first Butch Hartman project that has nothing to do with The Fairly OddParents. And the first to be a collaboration (not counting Zoomates), created by Steve Marmel and Butch Hartman.
Does anyone wanted to see the shorts actually turn into a series? Of shorts? π

Man, if only Steve Marmel and Butch Hartman could reconcile and reunite since they both left Nickelodeon. They could probably make this into a show for Hartman's upcoming OAXIS streaming service.
(Controversy aside, I hope that OAXIS will turn out better than the Google Stadia and Disney+ debacles)

Dan Danger oh how i rememer watching you as a kid! Butch Hartman is truly one my influences of becoming a cartoonist ^^

As a 90's kid, I was heavily influenced by cartoons like this, when I first started to draw. And I still love them just as much!

i don't remember Dan Danger at all! and i love all of Butch's work, especially Danny Phantom. it was on Oh Yeah Cartoons? dude, that was when FOP's design was below average from what Butch's style is today.

I don't remember Danger Dan. Hm. I'll have to check You Tube to see if the short is up there. I'm a big fan of Butch's and I'm still shocked that Nick has forced him to end Danny Phantom. I never blamed Mr.Hartman for that and I never will because it was Nickelodeon's fault for ending such a brillant and original series. Butch is one of my hero's because I think he's extremly brilliant.

I watched that before in 2002, and 2004! It sure was damn funny about the fraidy-cat muscle bound hero to chicken out on dangerous tasks... I still have it on my blank tape though, but it's too bad that it was not made into a series...

You know, at one time I would indeed have written a letter to Nick demanding an FOP feature film.
But after seeing the newest eps of FOP - particularly "Big Wanda" - I have lost the incentive.
Thanks for leaving many FOP fans with bad memories of the series with this latest batch of below-par episodes. Cosmo was my fave character and I can't stand him now. Nick will get no letter from me, I'll save myself some postage.

poinko, FOP is staying on Nickelodeon for quite a while, it's always the first or second most popular show on the network (along with Spongebob). It's coming to the end of a production cycle of over 150 stories, and it'll be out of production for a while. (Write to Nickelodeon and demand a feature film!)
