No secret...
- one program to create and pose the figures -> Poser
- one program to setup the scenes, modify the models and materials, add some lighting -> Cinema 4D
- one program to paint a little bit and modify what not came out of the renderas expected -> Photoshop
The rest is just a my imagination gone wild....

Poser - [link] starts I think with 99$ for "Poser Artist (V4)" and goes up to 249$ for "Poser 6"
You can try DAZ-Studio an alternative FREE program for the same purpose available at [link] there you can download also get "Michael and Victora 3" base figures for FREE.

Cinema 4D [link] starts at 695$ for the base module up to 2995$ for the complete package. The base module is available for students I think for 99$ or 199$. Demo is also available. But you do not need this package in the beginning, Poser oder DAZ studio is keeping you occupied for the first year... at least...

Photoshop [link] starting with 149$ for the upgrade and up to 599$ for the full version. Demo should be available. Student version? Don't know.
Alternative: Paint Shop Pro from Corel.

i guess thats right...about 3 years ago my dad bought a 1 gig "memorystick" for more than $700, but now they are less than a quarter of that price. (or something along those lines)

I really like this. You can really believe that's what women would wear to be discreet in the future. It's like, it shows a bit of skin, and by todays standards would be considered a bit rude to wear in public, but the way fashion is heading, that would be quite acceptable in the future.

Thi is outstanding, if you hadn't mentioned that this is an older piece I would have thought that it's fresh out of the box! Neat idea - and in some case the POV and the appartment reminds me on Helmuth Newtons photos...
