Description Memories pose as mist above the river,
Haunting as they hang on the wind.
No stars to freckle the navy blue
And tonight, no sign of the yellow moon.
But morning rays will light up the spiders' webs
That lace the window.
I'm watching shadows crawl
As the dusk falls in silence,
My mind stretching with illusions.
I know the heat we've had this summer
Means that change is on the way,
We'll raise our faces to the rain
And wash the tension from our bones.
I turn my back to the sun,
And let my shadow lead me East
Towards the day that will come tomorrow.
Heart beating to the tread of my feet,
I'll make my own way forward.
Keep moving forward.
Don't stop.

I really enjoy the beat to this...it's a poem that you can read aloud quite easily and I like it for that reason; but the people I'm staying with at the moment gave me a few weird looks for suddenly bursting out into poetry readings lol. I'm going to take a look at the rest of your stuff later; but I've got to dash now- but I'll +watch you just so that I don't forget
