Great Composition and use of Depth of Field! i wish it were cold enough once this winter for taking icy pictures.. damn you, global warming!!!
Uh almost forgot.. very nice coloring, the warm tones are contrasting well against the cold chunk of ice!!

Thanks for the great comment. oddly enough it was extremely cold but there was no snow, so we had to enjoy the -20 weather without the snow.

i think this is the first winter for a really long time without snow here... i hate winter when everything is grey! hopefully spring is soon ready to spread the joy again

Brilliant image. I think much better viewed full. For me the beauty of this shot is the clarity and detail of the ice in the foreground contrasted with the lack of focus in the background. Very unusual shot; bravo

Wow this is beautiful, compositionally fantastic simply because it draws you into the picture... but 
I think its beautiful, the sepia tones are wonderful and i love the way you didnt go for a very light sepia instead you went with something bold and beautiful

Ya I agree, But I think that It all still works because of those reasons. I really like your comment and I love the Advanced critique! Sometimes I try to stay away from what is being taught or "the norm" not because Im trying to be unlike eveybody else, but for the simple fact that I like unstable shots or unsquare images.Im not sure that a subject should be perfectly in focus or dead center of the shot. To me art should not be pushed or shoved into a certain form. Im not saying thats what you were implying but I was just letting you know my opinion. please Feel free to Critique any or all of my images, Ill look forward to your comments!
