Description
For this one, I used many of the techniques which I'd articulated in the One Year Has Passed series, of standing in a dark room, allowing my eyes to adjust to the space, so that I could portray darkness realistically.
An issue which I've been having is that I have difficulty thinking in terms of a color wheel. When I see a shade of white in darkness, it reads as white, instead of as slightly orange, or a very pale teal, or some shade of grey, and so on and so forth. For the time being, heavy shading can serve as a substitute.
