what about bloodbending brothers better ending.
So I would also try it.
They maybe still alive.

because some” weird thing” happened to them.

Then Noatak took with semi-disabled Tarrlok to back to the NWT remote western(their hometown,and a new industrial city now) and decided to grow their minds ideal.

“Building a new city , let’s non-bender leave bender’s bullying “

after 7 years, they become the head of a secret organization and they are the city’s new rules.(not equalists.)

Their success without any bending,include noatak’s bloodbending.
Brothers constant conflict in the period.
tarrlok couldn’t trust noatak.
he always found any chance to try kill his brother.
And noatak treat his brother. with the kind of almost suffocating love.

The relationship seems to be very interesting.

anyway,I hope they still alive,live is hope.

Maybe they will not appear again in ”the legend of Korra”

But they have their own story and will continue.

After the explosion ,it is not the end, but the beginning of a new legend

And the Avatar Korra will enter their stories after seven years

* Noatak’s scar was from a very heated argument by his brother.

* Noatak is 47 and Tarrlok is 44 ..

I love middle-age man.
