Ugh...I'm old. When taking this picture today at Papago Park in Phoenix, the 70's tune Midnight at the Oasis kept popping in. But as you can see, it's NOT midnight, rather 100° heatUnfortunately, this serene setting was interrupted by a couple of guys who thought they were cool by driving by with a booming stereo, scaring the ducks off. Yes, there really IS a shallow end of the gene pool.

Amazing picture. I wish we had places like that around here. But alas it's -10 degrees Celcius and about 2 feet of snow. Dammit, haha.

Cool to look around. Don't limit yourself with that stitching program... I am sure pointing the camera downwards would have given even more things to look at.

my only bitchy complaint is that i think that the people and powerlines really take away from the whole "oasis" feel of this. but it's impossible to take out the powerlines - well rationaly and it would take a while to get the people to go away.
but awesome shot. love the reflections. and i love how i can relate to the image because i've been there. i can recognize things

Don't feel too bad...I'm just as old, I remember the same song, and I can relate totally.
Wanna know the best revenge against guys and boom boxes? If you can, blast Classical music their way. I do it when I'm in the car, and the a$$h0le in front has a radio that you can hear all the way out your way.
I switch to the classical station and crank it. Hey, they might notice, they might not, but it's a bit of satisfaction for me, at least.

WOW....this is just beautiful! And it looks so clear and sharp. The reflections
on the water is such a nice touch. And the way you show these....you have to scroll over to see everything. I really like that about your pictures. I don't see that too often here.
