If Flora can prove Inasaki wrong, then she should! Looking forward to that ''take that!'' moment.

I still love how beautiful the Heart looks.

Yes! Go Flora!
Not sure how it will help he much either, maybe she'll find a way around it. ^^

Also the last speech bubble reads a little funny to me. I think perhaps 'You're wrong about everything.' would make more sense.

Let's hope she does. Otherwise...she'll die when Arindia is falling apart

I fixed it. Thank you very much!
Is there a difference in meaning with "wrong with everything" compared to "wrong about everything"?

Animecolourful In reply to Freiha [2019-02-21 07:38:51 +0000 UTC]

Oh no! I didn't realise that would happen. Hopefully she will!

That's aright. English is a very silly language though with lots of weird rules.
Let me see if I can explain, though I think it's more about what sounds right and wrong to me rather than rules. Wrong with everything to me doesn't make as much sense. You could have 'There was something wrong with everything.' if you were talking about a group of objects. Though I think in this situation where Flora is commenting about Inasaki's opinions it makes more sense for her to say 'about everything' because she's talking about Inasaki's thoughts. Hopefully that makes sense.

It was mentioned a few chapters earlier.

I don't blame anyone if they forgot a detail or two. I might make a sum up page with all the facts the girls know (when the facts become relevant again).

I'm sure German has lots of these small things, too. But you don't know if you're a native German speaker...because you don't really pay attention to it. It's just natural for you.
It does make sense. Thank you very much for taking the time to clear that up for me
I'll try to remember this small difference.
It's probably one of the details that make the difference between native speaker and everybody else
I hope I'll get a grasp on it someday

Ah yes! Now I remember.

That could be helpful. It does get hard to remember everything, even with a page every week.

I sometimes work with students trying to learn English and sometimes it can take a lot of explaining as to why things are a certain way when they are usually natural to native speakers. English is a super weird language though, it has 'rules' but their are so many that are broken easily.
You're welcome, I'm always happy to help.

I think you do a great job, it's easy to forget English isn't your first language. ^^

Yes, I'll make sure of it. There will be a synopsis page to remind everyone once it is important for the story So don't worry ^^
I also think Flora will mention it a few times.

Oooh, but this way you are actually experienced in explaining English grammar
And I know how it feels: My Japanese teacher also questions German grammar from time to time and ever so often I end up confused because I was thinking too hard about it

Thank you

Yay! ^^

I'm glad to hear that.
So true. Even people who speak something as their first language get confused with grammar.

Haha, true
I sometimes have to read sentences out loud to check if I got the grammar right.
In German there are some strange rules. Sometimes I really wonder how any foreign speaker should ever grasp these concepts without living in Germany for some time

There's a subtle difference between the relationships between "wrong" and "everything" depending on which word you connect them with.  One seems to suggest that everything IS wrong, and the other suggests that what the person THINKS is wrong.  I think Animecolourful gave a pretty solid bit of advice on that.

I would comment about things I think are irregular more often, but... I feel like I'd be making a nuisance of myself.  I do foreign language layouts for comics that Dr. Faustus writes, but I'm not the person who does the translating.  I just cut and paste and try to make the page, the layout, and the order of the speech balloons work.  Even so, I use Google translate sometimes in order to try and figure out where the break in connected thoughts happens -- and whenever that happens, and I'm using my best judgment to figure out how to fit things on the page?  I know I don't want to hear about it from people who feel like the words aren't right -- mostly because I have no idea what any of it means, and I would be greatly discouraged by getting constantly harped on for things I didn't write.  I always know what your characters are saying and what the gist of the story is (and given the fact that you're German and doing a better job with English than most high school kids I know, that is pretty awesome), and unless somethings seems just downright WRONG, I'm probably not going to say anything about it.

I see...guess that's the small details that debunk a non-native speaker.
I'll try to remember that.
Thank you very much for clearing it up for me.

I appreciate your consideration.
However, I'm eager to master even the smallest details of English as best as I can. I can't do it without the help of native speakers.
So whenever you feel like it, I'd appreciate if you could point out mistakes. Not every single one but maybe every once in a while? That would definitely help a lot
(thanks you I'm trying to do my best. )

Interior castle walls and swirling magical miasmas make me think something important is happening.  It's a good looking page!
