Well it is fun, I've been drawing out sequences since I started drawing 30+ years back.. lolΒ It's my forte.Β Just remember, it helps to think of your panels as dynamic storyboards of scenes of a film.. although you can get away with fun things in drawing out pages that you can't do in animation- like having characters appear to be popping out of a panel or other fun effects.
people always recommend doing thumbnails of the pages first so as to map it out before going all formal- but for me.. my talent is to draw it out live on the page- I've always done it that way- I start with blank sheet and make up panels and the story as I go.. I call it the 'live comic'.Β I'm not sure how many other people do that.Β so it literally unfolds on the page like watching a movie.Β
I also do thumbnails but they usually end up looking perfect- then I can't duplicate the same effect when I draw it for the real page.. so I say- sod it- I'll just draw it on the page first..Β Β
