also old but even so the first two words that came to mind were 'regal' and 'stunning'- both of the xerneas designs i saw (i say i saw bc idk yet if there's more) are absolutely fantastic and i love both of them. man. gorgeous.

Ahhh, so pretty~ I think your challenge ended well, too, but then again I also thought it started well and middled well and..... yeahhh you're just epic. XD
I really like the way her clothing and facial expression look though~ and the way you designed and colored her hair is very pretty 8D

It looks amazing, but I think the antlers would have translated better into an up-do, with lots of hair ornaments sticking out. Or would that have been a too obvious path to choose?

Well I did sketch out a few up-dos, but either it looked too comical or I couldn't translate it in a way that I liked. I wanted something long and simple, and the dreadlocks/braids appealed to me more anyway.

I can tell Xerneas is your favorite of the released 6th gen. pokemon so far. I am just a little disappointed that there is no emotion in her face. Sure i can make out calm, poised, and always obedient (she reminds me of a geishi with her face) but it lacks your talent for emotion. Wow, I am really negative on those two pieces that I commented on 0.o i should stop.
Overall, well done, can't tell if I like this style of yours our not

Well, yes and no. I do absolutely love Xerneas' design and I hope to get version X when it comes out. But I think the main point of this piece for me was to find a gijinka design that I was happy with - something that hadn't happened with the previous concepts and it was really frustrating me. Emotion wasn't really my main concern, but rather finding a way of translating the features of Xerneas in a coherent way. I don't know if I succeeded, but I like the result.
And no, I appreciate constructive criticism! It's not being negative. Thanks a bunch!
