The creative power of conceptual art kicks all other art in the pants. This is SO creative, her expression is so powerful. I love how the mountain translates to the viewer as hair in a way. So awesome! Just wish you'd spent more time on the lava and background, it's poor craftsmanship in comparison to her face.

I figured it was something like that but in English - we would say eruption for a volcano.
Your English is so good that at times, I tend to forget it's not your native language.
Most Americans don't really speak a foreign language. We used to take languages in school but I'm not sure they do that any more. They might but the individual states are all in a really bad financial situation so ... even before the latest economic troubles started a couple of years ago they'd cut a lot of classes from the curriculum, like music and auto shop. Frankly, with all the classes they'd cut I don't know how students get the credits they need to graduate ... but I guess they do.
The sad thing is ... it isn't really that people don't have the money to pay for a well rounded education for their children - it's that they prefer to spend the money they have on themselves.
There's a Disney movie called "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow" about the Headless Horseman - which typifies American attitudes towards education. It isn't that we don't have smart people ... it's just that the smart people here pretty much get where they're going on their own and those that don't like learning get left behind. The problem there is that many of the unskilled jobs have already been sent over seas where they can pay people a fraction of American Union Wages here.

Sometimes Disney will play these old cartoons but not that often. I've often wondered if the anti-intellectual message of this one, which they thought nothing of in the '50's, is one of the reasons they don't show it today.
