This guy was sooooo cute! WE found him a couple of days ago sitting on a light attached to our house.He is a Whiskered Owl, about 8'' tall. ^_^
We protected him from te blue Jays that pester him, with our airsoft guns.
Isn't he awesome?!?! XD

Awww, adorable little bugger! We had a couple of them living in a scrap of woods near my parents house a few years back. Don't ask me why, but right in the middle of the creek there lay an old rusted volkswagon bug, and they'd always lie on it like they were sunbathing. I never thought owls did that before watching it happen.
Ugh, the bluejays, they always would attack my cat and knock her off the wall she liked to sleep on top of. Only about 4 feet off the ground, but she never landed on her feet. I think her center of balance was the top of her head

They are out there, hiding in holes in oak trees. The best way to find them is look for other birds that are going bizark, most other birds don't like owls. lol
