Description In the midst of the English countryside, two hungry foxes who simply want to feed themselves are continuously being thwarted by a greedy and avaricious heron. I owe a lot of the inspiration for this animated short to the classic Looney Tunes shorts and several Cosgrove Hall cartoons. Those cartoon models sheet scans sure do come in handy.

This is my ninth Flash animated cartoon and probably the one that I have spent the most time and effort on - nearly six months in the making! Also, at over four and a half minutes long it is the longest cartoon I have ever made as well - and I never anticipated that it would ever get near that long!

I would also like to say a special thankyou to SeizeTheMoment, who went out of his way to compose the music for this cartoon.

Great animation, and liking the representation of the East Coast Main Line, with the East Coast HST being one possible factor for the fox losing his tail That and the bird got what he deserved at the end ^^

Pretty good short you've made there. The moment where it showed the fox's tail being cut off by the train I was all like O.O. I just noticed the bird had Muttley's laugh. And I thought the dyimite part wasn't going to work and I had the feeling that the bird was going to be too overweight to take off! Nice one! Give me five!

Oh, I saw this on youtube. Pretty good animation. Nice backgrounds, very looney-tunes style humour, although I can see the Cosgrove Hall influence in the drawing and animation style and the musical score (and yes, I did read that you were influenced by both in the description).

You don't need an enormous amount of time to make something short and simple. I think this one was the most ambitious I've made (and boy, did it stress me out!).

Make sure you don't scroll away from the animation when you play it, and it should be okay. It plays perfectly in sync on most computers.

Hah! Good to see them win in the end. Too many of the old cartoons had some poor sap gettin' the short end of the stick when they didn't do anything to deserve it!

Maybe I went a bit far with actually killing the heron off (poor guy!) but then I decided to go ahead with it since it looked like the most satisfying conclusion since he did endanger the lives of those foxes

Thats what makes him different from say, the Roadrunner. Because the Roadrunner was not really out to hurt the coyote!

Typically I'd say several. I spent just over a month animating it, after several months of pre-production among other things.
