The Night Fury are the rarest of all dragons in the film and the first to be tamed! They are Strike class and Night Furies weren't seen by anyone, until Hiccup befriended one and named it, Toothless! Hiccup and his new friend showed the people of Berk that dragons aren't monsters and that they don't have to kill them and then made Berk a better place!
