I'm surprised by the popularity of this one.. I did it years ago and the drawing is quite sketchy and the quality isn't great.. But I really appreciate your interest. I hope to recreate the idea as a painting.

Yes, I think so that it could represent a painful past.
This picture reminds me of my own life.

I thought it would make a pretty good image to have a character standing but his shadow beginning to crumble into the ground behind him while he doesn't realise. Perhaps it could represent the idea of a painful past?
I think I'll do a painting of this once I've worked out the right angle for the picture. I don't like the angle its in now that much.
