And, not to be rude, but I HAAAATE when AMAZING real artists like yourself comment something like "Oh this sucks", "This isn't my thing", "I sucked at this-this-and-this"
etc etc etc.
That's not to be rude, because EVERYONE is critical of everything they do, not just artists, but it always gets to my nerves deep-down because it's like
"If this real, badass artist is criticising their own work...then how fucking bad am I???"

My friends are afriggingmazing at portraiture so that doesn't help. But since I don't really draw people, I just feel out of my depth when I try

I'm frankly jealous of you.
I can see where your feelings come from, because it's pretty much the same as my perspective.
It doesn't help that I have an inferiority complex....and my first day of art college is today

I'm pretty sure I have an inferiority complex too, I never feel like the things I do are up to standard. At least I'm not the only one.
And thanks, I'm just a bit negative, I have to stop comparing my stuff to other people I guess.
Good luck at college D: I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm dreading my first day too to be honest but just think of all the other creative people you'll meet. It'll be great.

I totally feel you.
Even though I KNOW I do this crap to myself, my subconscious does it automatically.
It's like "aww her legs look great.." or, "damn, wish my boobs looked that good", "her hair is so perfect..why can't mine cooperate?"
etc etc etc
I can be such an ass to myself. I get jealous of people for stupid things.
A lot of times, I gauge my worth on the fact that I have no talents or skills whatsoever, therefore I feel useless and boring, for example.
And, thanks...we'll see.
