THE LOWDOWN:

A long, long time ago...in a galaxy far, far away...

Nevermind that ... Prior to going AWOL and disappearing from for nearly a year, I had discussions with `jussta about what comic-based characters we'd like to see in the big screen. One of 'em included Vampirella. We agreed that she'd look awesome kicking demon butt in all her scantily-clad glory.

Fast forward to the present and -- *drum roll* -- here you have it. In terms of casting, `jussta recommended hot, sexy, scintillating Sofia Vergara for the title role. I mean, c'mon, she looks smokin' in a teeny, weeny bikini . And dare I say, Sofia may even tempt the devil himself (or "herself" 'cuz y'never know if the Horned-One is a dudette instead of a dude, heheh).

You might be asking, "Who's David Fincher? Why is he directing this flick?" My answer: Why not? He made Fight Club and ya gotta love the way he makes things look dark and creepy but cool at the same time. All I'm saying is that you don't need a die-hard comic book or Vampirella fan to direct this movie.

`jussta may have last-minute changes in the casting department, but our star actress is locked, stocked, cocked and ready to rock . Miss Vergara and I will continue working out the kinks with her, uh, costume (or lack thereof, ). Shooting starts in June, boys and girls...

FYI, I used the Blend Tool in Ai CS2 to create 99% of Vampi's skintone and what-have-you. It's probably as close as I could get to achieving an airbrush-like effect in a predominantly vector-based software. But if you wanna check out some rad airbrushing, check out the killer art by .
