DIEHARD:
In the 1940s, Diehard was chosen to be the first of America's genetic experiments, and became the first successful fusion of man and machine. In 1944, Diehard joined Glory and Superpatriot to found the Allies, a superhero team that fought against the forces of the Axis. Diehard acted as the leader. In 1984, Diehard joined the original Youngblood program…. That’s the company line.

The original Diehard died in 1984. Graves, Proctor, Roland Thymer guy took the body. They were able to reactivate the brain and erase all of its memories. With further enhancements and cybernetics, they were able to rebuild most of Diehard. Having recently dealt with the “Supreme” situation, a plan was devised to create a supreme superhero of their own. Diehard was very formidable on his own, but what if he could have access to more powers? A plan was devised to make Diehard a reposit of several deceased superheroes’ superpowers. When a hero in the Youngblood program died, they would take the hero’s genetic material would be harvested and cloned. The material would then be stored and programmed into the Diehard body. The Diehard body would splice the genetic material into unit and absorb the ability harvested. Every time they added a power to the Diehard unit, they also add it to a clone they have in “storage”. The Diehard uses an A.I. programmed on the brainwaves of Colonel Bravo. Currently, the Diehard unit houses 43 different powers.
