SZAR Dharan

In the beginng, Rao woke to planets to life. Circling in an even opposing orbit of their sun, Krypton and Kacruyvis. No one understands why, in the great scheme of things, but Rao’s favor shone brightly on Krypton nay for Kacruyvis .

Where Krypton’s populace rose from their humble beginnings to create a world full of wonder stretching like an infant’s open hand to touch the face of Rao. Kacruyvis grew in a shadow of spite, conquering their beginnings and fighting for everything they had. Krypton placed its future in the hands of its best and brightest, becoming a technological marvel in its modern age. Kacruyvis sought refuge in the dark arts, prospering yet dooming their future to blight.

When a Kryptonian envoy made its way to Kacruyvis, you can imagine the Kacruyvi would treat them as a threat to their way of life, but it was the opposite. Kacruyvis had always sought to please Rao, even in their low state. They looked upon being visited by Rao’s favored as a sign that they too would now receive Rao’s blessings. And for a portion….it was true.

Kryptonians brought enlightenment, education, space travel, complex societal norms, and a host of other gifts to Kacruyvis. They even relocted some of the Kacruyvi to Krypton itself. First the men, the strongest…..and they never came back. They must have built a new life on Krypton, Rao be praised.

After about 100 years of this joint partnership, a Kryptonian shuttle crashlanded on Kacruyvis. The Kacruyvi sent the SZAR (Their world’s champion) to investigate. Aboard was a small group of Kacruyvi who had been resettled on Krypton. They were battered and bruised and looked as if they had been tortured. The SZAR used the Woespeak (an ability of the Kacruyvi to taste the blood of an individual and tell if they are lying). The SZAR confronted the Kryptonian Ambassador about the accusations. When the ambassador called his kinsmen liars and said it was untrue, the SZAR used the Woespeak on him….ripping out the Ambassador’s heart and feeding on it.

It was true. The Kryptonians were training the Kacruyvi on their world then taking them to Krypton and enslaving them. The Kacruyvi went to war. They slayed the Kryptonian envoys across the planet and launched an attack against Krypton.

They were at a stalemate. While the Kryptonian fleets easily out maneuvered the Kacruyvi armada, Krypton could not gain any sort of foothold on the planet due to the vicious strength of the Kacruyvi.

Looking for a way to win, the Kacruyvi devised a bomb that would literally destroy the entire planet. As they prepared to launch a final attack, the full force of the Kryptonian fleet started razing the planet’s surface. The Kacruyvi were defeated. The leader of the fleet, General Zod, found the bomb. As the Kacruyvi were being shuttled back to Krypton for enslavement, they saw him use the device and their planet. Kacruyvis was no more.

Little did anyone know that the planet’s demise caused Krypton’s sun to develop solar flares which bathed the planet in radiation. Radiation that disrupted the planet’s core.

And then, soon, Krypton was no more.

A small group of Kacruyvi were on a slave mission to mine one of the outer moons of Krypton. They were able to flee before Krypton exploded. The Kacruyvi rose up against the Kryptonians on the ship, killing them. Awash with guilt, only revenge plagued their minds. As it happened, the former Kacruyvi High Priest was on the ship. He knew the incantations to create a new SZAR. He performed the rituals on a man Kacruyvi named Dharan. He blessed him with the powers of the SZAR for one mission: DESTROY ALL KRYPTONIANS!
