To be honest, this probably would've made Shredder more dangerous, cause even though James Avery was overweight, he's built like a friggin' tank. The man was in the Navy and Vietnam to boot.

And here I was thinking he was just an extra-large target for all of Will Smith's insults!

It's true, Uncle Phil is the friggin' Shredder (just like Spock was Galvatron and Steve Urkel was Sonic the Hedgehog)

Is he the "uncle Phil"?
So funny, he's not any japanese-ish to me!

Nice XD But where did you learn this? Just by reading the names of both the characters?

Well, a peek at IMDB and TMNT fan sites didn't hurt... plus I knew that James Avery has done voice overs in the past. He played the Junkyard Dog in Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n Wrestling, and War Machine in Spiderman. You could definitely tell that it was the Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire's James Avery in both roles, although he adopted a silly Southern accent in the wrestling cartoon.

Ah. I am not really into the old stuff. I have seen Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire but I have never gone into detail about who plays what.
