Really? I can barely remember seeing him at all outside of Power Ponies (by far the worst episode of the season in my opinion) and then only, like you said, as a punching bag or in 3 second comic relief scenes, atleast in s3 he got 2 decent episodes with some bit of character development. Just my opinion
