Description hi there, this is a dragon i got comissioned to do for a client of mine.

it is the biggest piece i have ever sculpted and had the fun and awesome time (total sarcasm lol) to mold and cast.

the piece stands at 3 foot 4 inches tall.

at this stage the wing flaps are not completed yet, these are just stand in/tests.

will post some of the WIPS of this guy in a while.

Even if it wasn't the most fun you have had, it appears to be turning out amazingly. I love it.

mmm like this one the most! I think where as the other pieces have excellent detail work, the eyes or the face have a tranquil expression to them....this face has more of an expression to it....have found that what ever the feeling that you had at the moment you were drawing or sculpting that particular section will be the emotion that be most likely protrayed

"around 1000 dollars expensive" - are your words.

You are crazy? You have spend 1 month on sculpting and 2 on casting, you have the unique skills as a sculptor, and you are selling three months of your time and artisanship for 1000 dollars us? Did I understand that correctly? Then you are a fool man, sorry for saying thach, really sorry)

I think this costs like eur 10.350+ , beacause this is a handmade, not made from the pre-made mold. Roughly speaking 1 of 500 000 people can make the same. For example a good logo can be mady by 1 of 5000 people.

I dont want to offend you, i just want to understand how you can value 3 moths of your unprecedented skill and har working and also your talent for 1000$.

Mi mind cannot understand.

man you're right, but it's hard to sell pieces for that much when you're an unknown. i've sold at least 5 or 6 of these guys so it works out...but thank you for the advice and all your kind comments.

My first thoughts on seeing this were of the broken hearts of players who've spent hours upon hours playing characters that they've poured themselves into perfecting, and then the DM puts this guy up on the table. Obviously this isn't what such an epic piece is for, but it didn't stop it from rolling through my mind.

I guess I'm just warped.

Anyway, this is epicly badass and I look forward to seeing the finished product with the wings, since you mentioned these are only stand-ins.

I was gonna say that the wings gotta be much more bigger, but then I saw what ya said in comments. So I'm hoping to see some good, strong, majestic wings

well it's made out of an old tshirt and something called liquid sculpey. you brush the liquid sculpey on to it and bake it and it gives the shirt this leather feel and appearance

ok XD I used an old curtain with some varnish, but I was unsure of how it would react in the oven so I replaced it with some metal wire mesh. not sure how it will react in the oven but heres hoping XD
