Description Twiggy done in popotillo.

First time doing popotillo since i was about 7 or 8!

In case you don't know what popotillo is, it starts with picking or buying these slender plants with pink or fuschia flowers. They are then set to dry and dye with a dye called anilina (not sure what it is in English). On a sheet of translucent paper, you trace or draw an image, and spread a thin layer of wax. Then you break (not cut) the little twigs with a blunt (preferably metal) object that resembles a knife, and snap the straws according to the drawing.

That is beyond cool! I thought it was a palette knife painting until I read the description! Great choice of colors, and lovely job condensing the image into just the right level of detail for the popotillo.
