Hahahha more lame drawings of Joanna and Mystique XDDD... I was kind of like trying to practice drawing different kind of body types at first and then I ended up coloring it on computer and I guess I kind of like tried something new and tried out different kind of layer types, options and so on : DDD
And I got the idea for the color scheme from this www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDPNGX… video from Kesha which I like quite much 8) And I guess the lyrics with with this drawing in a way too XD

It's very cool that you try different body types rather than only using the "ideal body" we see everywhere in everyday's life to draw your characters, it makes them even more unique and beautiful in their own way and I really love it

Heh thanks a lot :3 Yeah I think it's sad that we just see the ''ideal body'' everywhere :c It would be nice to see different kind of people with different kind of features and bodies. Maybe then it would be easier to appreciate different kinds of beauty too. That is something I am trying to change in my drawings since I have usually just drawn the ''ideal body'' too a lot. You're such a smart person, seriously ! All I hear when people talk about fake girls in magazines is that "real women have meat on their bones" and all that shit, it seriously makes me sick. Not only does that make skinny girls feel bad about their bodies (and two of my close friends are struggling with bullying because of it) but it also encourages the "piece of meat" opinion of women. It's so rare that someone actually understand that the origin of the problem is not showing skinny girls, but showing only ONE body type to make everyone else feel abnormal. And you're totally right, if all kinds of body types/faces/skins were shown without photoshop and without exaggerated makeup, we would feel a lot better about ourselves and we would feel way less pressure on us to look "perfect". And I used to draw the "ideal body" too, you're even the one who made me realize that I did that xD I want to change that not only in my drawing, but in my photography too, maybe it will help me to feel less insecure since I know that we can make beautiful pictures with all body types.
And about your "magical" drawing, dreamy pictures like that make me feel good haha

Aww hehe you are too! : D It's nice to hear that someone thinks so :3 I dunno but it seems that some of my friends think I am really stupid or something : o (Not saying I am the smartest person on earth either XD)
You are so right about that :c It's not any better than fat shaming, it just makes a whole another group of people feel bad about themselves :/ And yes it does encourage the fact that women should only be something that should please other people's eyes and make the viewer feel good and not the women themselves D: Yes I wish more people would realize that and so on. But I guess it is also hard to change because the beauty industry, clothing industry and the diet industry do a lot of profit from the insecurities of people because insecure people are more likely to buy more make up, more dieting stuff, more clothes and such to make themselves feel prettier and better about themselves :/ Yes it will probably make yourself feel better and others too! : D At least it makes me feel a bit better about myself when I draw people with different body types and such :3 Awww I made you realize that? : D That is so coool and I feel honored in a way : DD I never thought I would make anyone think or realize anything while looking at any of my drawings so I am happy to hear that :3

Even for the smartest person in the world there will be people to think they are stupid haha ! I personally believe you are a very smart person and I think it's very interesting to talk to you :3 And at the same time, it makes me feel less alone x) Not everyone notices or understands what you do, and maybe those friends who think you aren't that bright just don't realize or they just don't know that part of you and keep judging by what they see of you. Just like I judge you positively by what I know about you haha ^^
And yeah they make us think that happiness = beauty and consummation (which is closely related to money) Buy this you will feel pretty, buy that you will feel so good, buy those and all the guys will be at your feet, because all a woman should want is to please men, what else? And all guys want is to get girls, what else? Everything encourages women to be "objects" and men to be "animals", it's a very sad thing to see. There's no one to blame and at the same time it's everyone's fault. We will have to work hard to change that, even a little bit, let's just support each other and everyone who struggle with this, and try to open the eyes of those who don't want to understand !
Of course you made me realize that, just keep expressing your thought through your art or through your word and you'll see that you will touch a lot more people than you think and you will influence (in a positive way) a lot of minds too

That is true xD And I believe there are different kinds of intelligence. Like some people can be socially intelligent, some artistically, some mathematically and so on :3 Society just mostly seems to think that like a very specific kind of intelligence and usually focuses on the mathematically intelligent or something : o Heh it's so nice to hear that from you since I think it's very interesting and nice to talk to you too :33 You are such an intelligent person too OuO Hmm that is probably true : D They probably don't know that about me and I think part of why most of them think I am a bit stupid is because I laugh a lot XD And I think that is something that is not usually linked with intelligence : o Or maybe that's just what I think XD
Yes that is so true. And of course the society or maybe more likely the big companies want us to think that because that is what makes them money. It is so sad that women and men are taught that like from the day they are born... And what I think is the saddest thing about it is that not only men objectify women it's the women themselves too viewing themselves as sex objects and other women too... Like I dunno I used to think it was in a way only the men's fault but that is not the case in the slightest... So yeah I agree with your there is no one to blame and at the same time everyone is to blame. But I think it is cruel from the advertisement people and big companies to like reinforce those beliefs. Yes we shall support each other :3 I always feel so good when there is a person to talk about stuff like this because not everyone really thinks about these things and/or talks about them. And I think one of the hardest parts for me of this is like of course trying to break free from the feeling that I have to be beautiful and ''perfect'' and while doing so listening to my friends talk about themselves negatively and about their appearance and such things. Like them saying that I NEED to lose weight, that they are too fat or something like that. I dunno it is one of those things that we all must be thin and please other people's eyes. And that of course has a lot to do with their bad self esteems which also makes me sad :/ Ahh this ended up being a bit rambly XD

Oh my god I read your comments with the intention of replying later since I'm doing homework and stuff, then I stopped to watch that video and I have to say thank you from all my heart ! It made me cry, I'm very happy when I find articles and videos like this, who say what I am not able to express myself and to make people understand... I have tried to explain this to my boyfriend but I don't have the words to (just like she said at the beginning of the video) so I hope he will understand after watching this how I feel and will realize that sexism and inequality between genders, where women ARE objects, DOES exist. Thank you again for sharing it's something very important for me <3

I am glad you liked it! I think that video is genious and it really does put things that are so so hard to describe into words. And kind of like connects the puzzle pieces together and it also helps me to understand this problem better.
I hope that video will make your boyfriend understand it better too or at least make him realize that that inequality does exist.

I really like how you said it "connects the puzzle pieces together", because it's totally what it is ! I wish that someday I'll be able to do that too and to talk about this problem myself though
I don't think it's pushy it's their choice to watch it or not, to be open-minded while watching it or not. I think it might help a lot of your friends more than you think too. But well if you're not so easy with it it's not an obligation too, talking about it through your art is a great way.Sadly, guys would be a great help in this issue but they are a lot harder to convince since they feel less concerned and have nothing to complain about. For me as soon as I shared it on facebook I deleted it because I'm to afraid to start a debate, because I have a lot of difficulty to defend my point.. xD I really hope my boyfriend will understand, if not I won't stop trying because it's a very important part of me and I need his support just like he needs mine in other subjects. I see him tomorrow I'll give you news then ^^

Yeah I hope that I would be able to do that too. Sometimes I get very nervous when I am talking about this kind of subjects with people or friends that I haven't talked about that kind of subjects before. That doesn't help trying to convey my point when I start stumbling over my words and stuff : o But yeah it would be so great to be able to talk about it well :3 We will learn 8D

Yeah I hope he will too and I think it can take time to really understand that. And I think maybe guys can be harded to convince about this kind of stuff because obviously they don't experience that themselves and they might feel like they are being blamed of it or something : o And of course it's always easier to live in your own bubble without realizing the bad things that happen around you...

Yeah I understand, it's like the door has to be already opened or else you don't know how to start the discussion. But posting work about it on dA when your friends follow you here is a great way to make them think, even if you don't always know what they think exactly. But yea sending too much links discourage people I think haha ! Personally, if you send me a lot of links about this subject I'll be very interested and I'll be happy to discuss about it with you but when it's a subject you don't feel concerned about it may be annoying. What I do is when one of my friends feels down because of a subject that is related with pressure on women, false ideal of beauty etc. then I allow myself to talk about facts I know, to share links and articles with them, give them advice, etc. There are so much problems in this world that I think you have to wait for the right moment or express yourself in a place that is yours and where people are free to look and comment or not (like dA, your facebook page, etc) to talk about one subject that touches you.
Yes that's what I feel about guys too. I showed him the video, I explained further what the woman meant and what I wanted him to understand and I think he's still a bit reticent to actually think about it but he seems to understand better. I told him about what effects it had on me too. I even talk to him about you sometimes hahaha ! Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me, it helps me think and it helps me explain things to him better.

And I don't want to be a person that always only just talks about these issues and who tries to push them down everyone's throat either :/ Yeah that is a good way to do that 8D Oh okay I guess I could send you a few links then :3 ( I'll try to find some videos I have liked but youtube just deleted all my playlists and favorites so I don't know if I'll be able to find much ;___; ) That indeed is a very good method since then they could feel a bit better and you at least tried to help your friend :3 I shall give that a try when a good time comes.

It's only when they are feeling down about it that your friends will realize it affects them and that they should acknowledge those issues. Until then you can always educate yourself more about it so when the time comes you'll be prepared !

No mutku huomasin et kaikis kuvis misson molemmat ne on tieks sillei sivult päi kuvatty, enkä tiiä miten aina päädyn siihe samaa asetelmaa ja sit huomaan sen vast tyylii siin vaihees, ku kuva on valmis XD et hopsan xD pitäs yrittää ehkä jotai muita kuvakulmii asentoi yms... xD Nojaa ehk ens kerral huomaa aikasemmi.
Ja jeps siitä toi avaruusmainen maisema idea juttu tuli :3 alunperin kyl piirsin tän iha paperille ja siin ei ollu mtn Kesha vaikuttei, mut sit kuuntelin ton biisin pitkäst aikaa ja selasin devi gallerioi ja sain himmeen väritys inspiksen ja päätin värittää tän XD ja sen ajan kyl tota Keshan biisii taisin rämpyttää : D
Ja joo tuli tekstailuu eri layer tyyppei, ku oo käyttäny vaa linework layerii ja normaalii : D ni testasin tähä niit muitki ja en kyl varmaa ilma niit ois saanu tämmöst lopputulost, et kannatti 8D

Nii joo ja itelläki on välillä jotain yllättäviä ennakkoluuloja joit ei ajattelis ees olevan, vaikkei mul ny esim Keshaan ollukkaan. Ja mä en oo oikeen kauheest moniinkaan artisteihin perehtyny kun en oikeen usein tee niin jos en sitten todenteolla innostu, tykkään vaan kuunella kaikenlaista musaa artistista huolimatta. Ja nii joo toi kyl kans et se ite tekee niit biisei, sen olin unohtanu. Aika hyvin just useet tunnetut ei välttämät tee vaik kyl siel niit poikkeuksia löytyy. (:
