Size medium, made to be worn as an overdress.Bust on dummy is set at 39 inches, waist at 36 inches.
Asking price, $50, plus shipping.... I'm really not making any money off this, I just want to clean some clutter out, and send these things to home were they will be worn!
Cleaning out some personal costumes I don't wear anymore. This is my green steampunk overdress. Worn a few times, but not in the last two years. I don't know what the green fabric is for sure, I found it in a thrift store, but I think form burn tests in it rayon, or a rayon, or a rayon mix. I lined it with a mid weight black linen.

Studio shots of my green overdress that I've been working on! As you can see, I finished sewing on the trim and buttons, as well as sewing on the snaps to hold the panel in place.. even though they're some flaws in the bodice construction, and it's not 100% the most flattering on my figure apparently, I really do love this dress! I think I'll be redoing another version of this, and trying to fix the flaws that make it less than flattering on me.

Ah, but that's the beauty of this piece! If I put on a flowy dress or blouse and skirt, the over-dress, and one of my capes, I instantly become a pseudo wench/fantasy character....... And then, just by changing to my little black jacket, blouse and hat, I'm a Steampunk in no time! ^_^ The fun of having a versatile wardrobe.

Perhaps just making the bodice section a bit shorter would help you? I hope that makes sense... I know what I mean, but that doesn't mean it translates. LOL I think it looks real nice though.

Sure, if anyone ever wanted one. I'd probably end up using a different princess top (the bodice part), but the only thing that would change how it would hang around the waist....( hopefully it would be just a tad more fitted,since that seems to be where all my problems are in this current pattern). I don't know what price I'd ask, that it really depend on what type of fabric was used.
