Steppenfish, like Steppenwolf, the title of Herman Hesse's novel (I think)? A beautiful piece, full of moody depths and spangled details. I have no suggestions for improvement.

considering the subtle color combinations in the far ground, but above and below your subject matter - i might have made the *fish* elements a bit more rounded - your horizontal plains are a little harsh for my taste

There are subtle hints of fishiness throughout the work: in colours and textures, but nothing abstract like Kandinsky might try in order to suggest a flailing movement, perhaps.
There is visual depth, but the backgrounds are not filled with much interesting or too complex.
Horizon line is kind of odd... perhaps our dear fish is diving?

hmm... I dunno how I feel about this...
some of the relationships are interesting, like those weby yellow lines on the bottom, and the green on the left side but other than that.... I dunno... not doing it for me :-/

Ahh, just when I thought your work was getting a bit too... lots of the same, you pleasantly surprise me with this. I love the theme and colours. Definitely shows you have a lot of talent and the capability of deviating from your regular path. Keep going!
