i wonder if that platform in rear could make this a legitimate Rolls-Royce pickup?

If I ever win the lottery this is the car I'm buying myself. There have been better AC's built, but nothing matches this one's style.

It's a bit hot in the summer and the visibility's crap. The machine gun might be legal in _some_ states but you'd have to check.

You'd have to have vickers machinegun, it would ensure that traffic was never a problem.

That usually does the job. But you'd want a kind of snowplow blade thing up front to push away the smoking wreckage.

Does that gun swivel back in case someone is tailgating you?
This is very well done. Both of them are. Great use of value changes to give it weight and mass. Very nice piece of work!

Oh yes. It has a fully traversing turret.(probably manually swivelled on bearings as opposed to powered). Thanks very much for your compliments.

I had a look but I don't think my style suits the nature of the site; a lot of very clean, precise aircraft profiles and such. I'm not really good enough for that type of illustration.

None taken. I like to make things up out of my head. That kind of military stuff has to be exactly right or everyone gripes about lack of accuracy and I don't really prefer working that way. But thanks for the link, anyway.

arenafighter In reply to Frohickey [2009-01-14 15:06:38 +0000 UTC]

Agreed!!!!! did you know, the Mig 242 was based on the Angel Interceptor from Captain Scarlet????

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Frohickey In reply to arenafighter [2009-01-14 18:54:33 +0000 UTC]

This is true. It had a lot to do with the fact that they had a large, expensive clear canopy used for the puppet shots of pilots and they wanted to keep using it so they told Mike Trim (the designer) to make sure any new airplane he came up with had the same shape canopy.

arenafighter In reply to Frohickey [2009-01-14 18:57:27 +0000 UTC]

good to know. Think the New Angel Aircraft is a Better Design????? i've seen 1 but i thought i'd ask.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Frohickey In reply to arenafighter [2009-01-14 19:08:40 +0000 UTC]

No way. I don't care for any of the "new" designs from the updated Captain Scarlet (although I'll admit the "Rhino" looks pretty cool). I think changing the names of the vehicles is wrong as well.If you're "remaking" Captain Scarlet, then I think it's a bad idea (and a bit disrespectful) of the iconic vehicles that helped make the show so memorable. Of course, this is the opinion of an "old guy" who remembers the original show too well.

I don't mind Galactica; I object to the re-design of the Cylon Raiders and the Base Stars, though.
