don't worry, I think the dlc does not require nintendo online subscription (HURG) to be downloaded after you purchase it

Just a heads up, as with ALL dlc, as long as one profile on the Switch has it, ALL profiles on that switch will have it, since the files will be on the Switch themselves rather than being linked to the profile specifically, the files will only be inaccessible if the profile that downloaded the DLC is deleted.

Yup, I know this because whenever I load up my Smash Bros in a new profile, it ALWAYS starts with the five 'JOKER has ARRIVED', 'BANJO has ARRIVED' etc, etc...
You can try it yourself, if you'd like to double-check.
Do you have ANY games you can download the DLC for?
Download the DLC for that game, wait for it to download, then boot up the game in a different profile, you'll still have access to that DLC in the profile the DLC wasn't downloaded from.
