My theme was tropical birds, so I wanted to draw something with the Spix's macaw, a type of bird that's possibly extinct in the wild. They're very beautiful and it's such a shame that their numbers are so low.

Since the Spix's macaw is so rare, I thought having a winged cat as my character for the entry would be fitting

I think when I started out with this I wasn't realizing how much effort this drawing would take bc oh my gosh I died so many times while drawing this ugh

I wish I had the inspiration to go on and draw the veins on the leaves and whirls in the bark and such, but I had to cut it short here before I started to resent the whole thing XD
