Backstory
Nestling/Fledgling: Zephyr was born along with her 3 siblings, her brother Feather and sisters, Star and Midnight. Her mother Flare wasn’t around much when she was young. She was off fighting in the war while her father Aspen stayed to take care of them and their farm. He was never really interested in fighting anyways. Opting to take care of his children, as well as maintaining the farm to help his kingdom instead. Meanwhile her mother was a fighter, going to the full extent to protect her kingdom. Only taking a few breaks, one of the main ones being to have their eggs.
She had a good relationship with her father and siblings. Though the sibling she was closest to was her brother Feather. They would get in all sorts of trouble together. Once she started to fly no one could stop the mayhem that they could bring.
Sub-adult: During school Zephyr would often get in trouble with Feather. They tried to rope in their siblings but they would only rat them out. She was interested in exploring and learning about what the other parts of the continent looked like. She would often talk with her brother about visiting the rainforest, plains, and other areas. She wanted to see the large colorful rainforest, and the wide, flat plains, and so on. Imagining going there if the war ever ended, or even going there on their own once they were old enough to.
Adult: When Zephyr was old enough her and Feather were drafted. As neither had important jobs yet, though they spun it as a way to see the world. Trying to spin a positive light on it. During their training they matured a lot. Going from trouble makers to warriors. After her first battle she was pumped with adrenaline and excitement. Her first wound being a torn ear that she bragged about to her brother. Feather also got a scar tuning down his face and they joked about being scar twins.
In their last battle, things were not so high strung. It was the bloodiest battle either had ever encountered. Zeph fought tooth and claw against her foes. Doing her best just to survive in the heat of battle. Sustaining a wound on her back leg to boot. When the fight subsided she looked for her brother only to find his body mixed in with the other casualties. She could barely believe that he was gone. After she got her wound treated she went home and grieved with her family.
Not too long after the war ended she was happy that there would be no more bloodshed. She started work to save money to explore the land. Zeph currently works to help deliver certain products and supplies to different locations. From pelts, fish, produce, etc. Eventually she will be able to fulfill her dreams. Hopefully she can do so soon.
