I love this picture! ^_^ I know I've probably said before, but I have to say it again. Pete makes me laugh so much. I was doing a stadium sales shift at Shamu Stadium and the mics had gone out on the trainers. So Pete runs out, does a little tap dance, and yells "We'll be right back!" I dunno, but something is just hilarious about a grown, bald man doing a tap dance in a wetsuit. XD
I'd like to talk to him about his job and everything. I know some of the trainers really don't like to talk much.
And I can see Becky's hair! ^_^ Big puffy hair like mine. Hehe.

no, there are other trainers that are cool as well, but pete is the lead goofball of the group

Lovely, They go so good together. It seems to be something I've seen him do with Kasatka's calves (well just Nakai and Takara). I can't help but think of Takara when I see this. This is probably one of my favorite interactions between orca and trainer. Lovely capture!

aww thanks. i never realy got to know Takara, though i look forward to meating her when i get to Sea World Florda some day. but i realy see a lot of simularities between Pete and Nakai, or mabie its that he's like all Orca calfs because he's such a kid at heart himself.

I agree with orcaobssive. I will probably not be able to contain myself when i'm first there and I love having fun. I think I will try to do stuff as Pete does. Nakai is getting huge. I love that boy :] Its funny how almost none of the other trainers realize what he is doing.

If I was a whale trainer, I would be a goofy too! That is the best part of being a trainer and the other trainers are not enjoying that much.

yah i know what you mean, i wouldent be able to help myself either if i was out there with them, thouhg it isent something that is in my future, but for those who are going for a trainer position, i hope that they have as much fun as Pete seam to.

I agree with islandwave. Though I could ID the orcas pretty well after some time, I had problems with the trainers, cause I like animals more than humans and do not spend much attention to the looks of them but it was very easy to identify Pete, and so he is pretty much the only trainer I can name

its a call button, it makes a sound under the water that is a signal to the orcass to returne to the trainers

oh cool I never knew they use such a thing for that. In Tenerife, the trainers clapped on the water to call the orcas.
