Breathing deeply as the air around gets thinner
Turning
Round and round as faces start to fade away
Slipping
Gracefully falling into the depths below
Sinking
Silently drowning into a deep sleep, eyes close
Heart stops
Hands grasp
Eyes open
Rays of light are visible just above
As the dark figure pulls her once lifeless body to the surface
Carried in a nameless deity’s arms
She sits up and is awoken
A minute later she finds herself walking hand in hand with her savior
Everything alight, she wonders, is she in heaven?
Then she turns and looks directly into her rescuers eyes
And smiles
