So... I got sick earlier this week and decided that it might be a good idea if I took a couple days just to relax and not think about school. This last semester of uni is kind of killing me, so I wouldn't think it entirely impossible that my sickness was stress related.That being the case, I decided to color a sketch that I had just sitting around for a while as stress relief. I read some article about the Sami people recently, and the color palettes in the photos really intrigued me. I thought that it might be fun to try to capture that. But oh my gosh... the scarf took forever. @__@

Sami, in my local language it mean monk. I love the scar, the color really represent a monk color. I am Buddhism and I often visit temple. Orange use to be our color and this scarf that you have drawn has a beautiful pattern in it. Lovely!
I love how you made the girl looks so lively. Her eyes are soft, it just feel like she is in peace and happy. Oh and not to forget about the glow around her

Really? That's interesting... I did not expect for there to be some overlap like that with another culture! I always find it fascinating what the same "word" means in different languages, too

Oh goodness... it sounds like your stressful times would be very stressful! The only thing that helps me are things like art and writing and watching shows/movies. I would go crazy without them. @__@ I think it's impressive that you could deal with your stress without things like that!

Anyway, thank you very much! I'm really glad that you like this picture! Even though I know that it won't get as much attention as fanart, it is nice to do things like this for myself sometimes.
