Do you use the colored pencil and then paint over it. How does that work?

no most of the time the outlines are coloured pencil and some of the darker shadows.

ah okay. I love it when people used mixed media. Looks like you have it down pat. how long does it take you to paint one of these?

Ah yeah, I forgot about drying times. I've never worked with Guache, only oils and acrylics. Theres an old modeler (like cars an airplanes) technique where you always keep a blow dryer handy. It really accelerates drying, I imagine it would work for guache as well. You should try it.

Go get one, not only are they good for art, but they can also dry your hair as well.
Seriously, can you imagine if you could cut your drying time in half or 75%. You'd crank through images alot quicker.

It does, ever consider working digitally. Try Corel Painter, you'll like it.

What do you hate about it? The new painter is really nice, they have a mixer pallette where you can mix your own colors by hand, and tons of natural brushes that emulate just about any type of media. Painter has such a natural feel to it once you get used to it. I do respect traditional artists though, I used to paint alot with acrylics myself.

Well, I suppose its not good for everyone to be a digital artist. I still like people that can produce stuff by hand.
