There's nothing to write because I needed you to spark me up.

I was myself without you. Incomplete without knowing. Not quite full, but not quite caring of it.

Your touch and your kiss, your entire being in my head. Sparks like a broken socket. Blue and visible and so strong my entire body and mind can't come down even when I force myself to breathe without you.

Without you the colours are muted and the sounds are weak. The only reason I'm strong is because I am still me and I was strong before you. You are the only person I would ever let break me, but you won't.

(You take me right back to the innocence I was before I learnt to build up my walls and shields, you burn all the wooden slums of my cities and shatter the glass of my skyscrapers. You make me forget that I have bad sides, too. You inspire me like I've not been inspired in years.)

Underneath all this friendship, this semi-pain, this impulsiveness, a foolish hope that we'll start again, start a-fresh, a-new.

This is how it will happen.

I will enter; I've had a shift at work, tipsy because I'm happy about dissertation being given in. I've got my eyes bright and my smile honest. I've got the need to mingle and socialise, and I will tonight.
Then I'll lock my eyes with yours. And the air around us will vibrate. We'll smile coyly, we'll flirt, we'll laugh, all the while knowing that we need each other like humans need oxygen, like plants need the sun and water, like the moon needs the stars, like the day needs the night.
Like I need you.
And we'll dance, we'll talk, like we've never met before.

Then life will begin again.
