ok i know it's different from my usual style! requested that i draw a pokemon with shading and try to do a better quality artwork, so i chose toxicroak for it's easy body and cool sophistication.turned out alright, just not my cup of tea, it took me an hour and a half! it normally takes about a half and hour, also i like to draw and do lines and poses, the coloring is just blah for me, not worth my time usually.
anyways hope you guys like it, who knows, maybe i'll do some more of this style

It's looking better, but the shading is still a little weak. Use violet or indigo for shading on top of blue, but don't use indigo for the red colors because red and blue medium don't mix very well. To shade red, use a darker red or violet. For the yellow eyes, you can use green or red to shade them. I think violet would also work on top of yellow, but make sure to test before. For shading white, blue will do the trick, or any color, really, just avoid using plain grey or black.
To make things look more 3d, use this shading guide www.cityschools.com/britchie/f⦠The reflected light on an object, I've learned, makes all the difference in making something more 3d.

Yeah and also remember to color lightly first. You don't want to make it too waxy unless that's needed. Layers and layering are probably the most important aspect of making art.

yeah i tried that with this one, normally i just do one layer and there you go, i don't have that much problem with it, but with this one i did a light layer than darker and so on
