I glued crayons to the top of the canvas then used a hairdryer to melt the crayons

What do you do? Melt crayons with a blow torch or something?

You glue crayons to the top of the canvas using a glue gun and then use a high-powered hair dryer (that goes pretty hot in temperature) and you aim it at the crayons.
