Description
Nightmare, aka. the Cloaked Nightmare. A villain from Kirby's Adventure and its remake, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. He infected the Fountain of Dreams until King Dedede broke the Star Rod that powered the fountain into pieces. The Dedede I have drawn is very KSS stylee. Basically, SSBB Dedede without the weird kimono that appeared from nowhere.

Your Kirby icon is slightly different from the official one. Is this because you have Stafy in mind for another star-like icon?

Well, I'm not sure why many of the SSB icons were chosen, because I'd certainly say the Mario series logo was the "M" rather than a Mushroom.
I chose Popstar rather than a Warp Star because it fits more of the characters better (only Kirby and Meta-Knight are Warp Star users) and because it's prettier

I would argue that Mario's personal character icon would be the "M" just like Luigi's would be the "L" but the series as a whole would be a Mushroom.

I'd say the Mushroom sums up the main Super Mario series, as set in the Mushroom Kingdom. I'm as yet undecided how I want to handle individual characters yet... maybe Peach should have a Peach logo

I'd say go with what Smash did. Yoshi is shaky indeed but Wario definitely needs his own series icon. His type of adventure differ greatly from Mario.
But you could go and give each character there own icon. That would settle the series thing. It might be easier too. Look at what I did with my Mario Cards [link] I gave each character there own icon.

I think Yoshi definitely needs the egg, as it sums up all of his appearances. As does Donkey Kong. Wario could have the "W", garlic or the WarioWare bomb. He's so frustratingly versatile!

Aw, please don't do that. Doing an icon for each series makes it more fun to see groups of characters.

This isn't Smash Bros. though. Is Yoshi a separate series to Mario? What of Wario? Donkey Kong? If so... is Donkey Kong arcade separate to Donkey Kong Country?
I mean, all Zelda characters are easily identified by the Triforce... but Mario characters? We're on shaky ground.
