Well, for a lot of Nintendo characters now, I have "my redesigns" and then ones closer to the original artwork. That's the distinction between the two. This one looks like the original (I used a sprite and arcade flyer for reference, and then cleaned it up and made it more rounded). The other one was a redesign look.
The best one is still the old vector Sky Skipper I did ages ago (right near the end of my gallery).

I'm actually not familiar with the game but they both look great. I think it's mostly personal preference.
I kind of preferred the more muscular build of the old one but the facial features are more striking in this one.

It's definitely a preference over a rebuilt model or one more in keeping with the original artwork. As the latter was my plan all along, this is probably the better option.

Either one looks good. The old one followed more in suit with the rest you made, but I say go with your favorite.

Not much to say about it really. Nobody knows a whole lot about it, the reception it received, and so on. All I know is Parker Bros. got the license for an Atari version.
