Description
The hero of Devil World, a strange little Nintendo game on the Famicom in Japan that also received a European release. Tamagon is a dragon who must travel through Devil World, collecting dots, crucifixes and bibles in order to defeat the Devil.This was another character profile that I decided to base more on the original sprite work than on the official art. I was also chuffed with the wings - being something I've never been particularly good at drawing.
Sketched and then inked/coloured in Illustrator in December 2006.

I believe this is at least partially true. They look similar in a lot of ways, and that egg sound effect can't be a coincidence.

Aw, cute, dopey lookin' lil' egg-dragon.
I never could figure out why Tamagon got removed, it's not like his game was blasphemous or more religiously symbollic than something like Castlevania...
The game's hard as heck though. Like Pac-Man on crank.
