I haven't really seen much of either character, but Batgirl always seemed pretty badass in that suit.

Cass IS Batgirl to me.
If the new Batgirl does set up a new Batgirl hopefully Cass can move on to a new identity. Like Dick did when he became Nightwing. Still a member of the Bat-family but out of Batman's shadow.
