Description
My Freewing F-4D 90mm EDF electric jet. I ordered this and will fly it eventually, however I'm using the
PBY Catalina
to practice first; I want to be able to fly it the normal way before I start flying FPV because if that fails I need to be able to bring the plane back without it. And I'll probably buy more, cheaper planes before I actually fly this. The PBY was about $280 total. I can just buy another if I destroy it. (Thought I did for a second earlier, read my
flight report.
)
The camera system alone in the F4 cost quite a bit more than that. This is about $1,200 worth the toy plane at this point. So I'll be practicing a lot before I take this one up.. Flying this.. and landing it is one of my short term life goals ATM and I'm gonna build up to it. I have run it up and down the road a few times to test ground functions and my god... When it goes by at full throttle, it sounds like a real jet and it's SO FAST! Not just fast, quick. I ended up in a neighbors driveway because I ran out of road.
I also have some other RC stuff. I got a couple airsoft tanks and a 1/10 scale RC car in the mail. I will be getting an FPV quadcopter soon too.
