i think that's the standard size..

Great, great coloring here. I'm always impressed when people can be so free on such a small scale -- it's something I struggle with, which is why I always opt for large canvases.

don't got a lot of room where i live to paint huge.
i do like to though.
well considering, maybe huge is the wrong word. compared to some people i'm still in the baby canvases!

Hey, do you recommend any painting teachers at AAU? Just wondering, it's always good to have some inside info. on the instructors...

i've only had 3 actual painting teachers so far, but i highly suggest kazu sano, he teaches acrylic figure painting and honors portfolio.
i jus had him last semester, one of the most important classes i've ever taken.
did you jus start at the academy?

Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I just had my first semester this Spring, though I've had years of product design work as a footwear designer. I've managed to transfer a lot of credits though and I've waived just about all the Foundations classes, so hopefully I can get into the meat of my education. I kinda abbreviated my desire to be an illustrator years ago for that job since it paid well and I kinda regret, but there's no better moment than now...

that's good, you just saved yourself a lot of $! although, those classes are good practice, no matter what level you are.

Very nice, I like all the colors you put into her face and how it looks fragmented up close, but far away it looks so perfectly managed. Really well done, keep it up
