Fantastic lighting, I lvoe how half his face is the shadows.
I love the concept. Everything looks so still and the model creates movement without moving!

thanks very much! hmm the secret is all in the lighting! forget the camera, forget the lens. lighting is everything! don't limit yourself to ambient light. control the light. get the flash off your camera. get a wireless remote for your flash and get a portable lighting stand to stick it on and an umbrella and you've got half a portable studio that you can take with you anywhere.

Awesome. Thanks for that info. It sucks a bit, I wont be doing studio until next year so I wont be learning about portable lighting until then. Hopefully I wont suck!

thankies, lighting is all done with direct off-camera flash, set it up on a tripod and then triggered it by a radio remote i picked up from gadgetinfinity.com

hmm ya can be, top of line ones ~$500 (is what i use), cheaper ones for ~$300 or can get second hand ones for cheaperrrr
